The ALTER-Net Summer Schools provide an innovative atmosphere for thinking about and resolving sustainability challenges, and promote interdisciplinary approaches.
We are delighted to invite applications to our 12th annual Summer School, a unique opportunity for an intensive course on the science, policy and practice of European biodiversity and ecosystem services in the beautiful surroundings of Peyresq, in South-Eastern France. The title of this year's summer school is "Biodiversity, ecosystem services: science and its impact on policy and society".

ALTER-Net members commit to supporting the network until at least 2020
ALTER-Net Council (representatives of ALTER-Net member organisations) met in Uppsala at the end of February. They discussed recent activities of the network such as our conferences, summer school, High Impact Actions and Multi-Site Research. They also discussed future plans and, crucially, committed to continue supporting the network for a further term, up until the end of 2020. During this time, ALTER-Net will continue to play a vital role in bringing together a diversity of European organisations and people dedicated to multi-disciplinary biodiversity and ecosystem research.
